Kernmoment comes from a place where two worlds rarely meet: the daily practice of an architecture office and the development of AI software.
Why Kernmoment exists
Practices are under pressure – and AI could help
Architecture practices today plan with fewer skilled staff, under fee pressure and with ever more regulations. A large part of the work is research, cross-checking and documentation – important, but not why architects chose their profession.
AI can take over exactly this work. But most AI tools are not built for architecture: they know neither the work stages nor the standards and workflows of a practice. Kernmoment closes this gap: we bring AI out of architecture into architecture practices – with consulting, implementation, ongoing care and, where nothing suitable exists yet, with our own development.
Kernmoment is offered by NodeByNode Systems Design UG (haftungsbeschränkt), based in Berlin.
Behind Kernmoment is Dr.-Ing. Lena Golgolnia – an architect registered with the chamber of architects. She knows the work of an architecture practice from the inside: from the first conversation with the client through design and permits to construction.
For 15 years her path has led through architecture and industry. From architecture she moved into systems engineering – thinking in workflows, interfaces and data, which every good AI solution needs. In industry she developed systems and built and introduced AI and software solutions herself.
She did her research and doctorate at the Technische Universität Dresden and at the University of Cambridge. This combination of architectural practice, systems engineering and research shapes Kernmoment: we understand how a practice works – and know how to build and introduce AI so that it helps there reliably.
